You do not need solar panels to use a home battery. A battery can charge from the grid overnight on a cheap tariff and power your home in the evening.
If you already have solar panels, a battery stores the surplus you would otherwise send to the grid. Solar Heaven’s hybrid inverters can do this, and they are designed to be ready for panels to be added later.
