Hanchu, Lux Power with Dyness and Tesla Powerwall 3: how to compare

These are three different routes into home storage:

  • Hanchu: a 5.12kWh or 9.4kWh battery with a built-in heater for UK winters, paired with a hybrid inverter. A lower-cost starting point.
  • Lux Power with Dyness: a 16kWh battery with a Lux Hybrid Gen2 inverter. A good option for larger usage, and the one we most often recommend for value per kWh.
  • Tesla Powerwall 3: 13.5kWh with an integrated inverter. It can be expanded to 27kWh and can provide whole-home backup with the Tesla Gateway.

Compare them on capacity, inverter size, backup needs and total installed price. We supply and fit all three, plus Fox ESS, Sigenergy, GoodWe and Growatt systems, and we give advice on which suits your home rather than selling one brand.
